Hugo Ray Park
The West Vancouver Tennis Club’s Hugo Ray Park location has been a hotspot for community recreation for many years. Dedicated to serving the local community, the club has been active in improving the park and attracting new members. In May, it was announced that volunteers had introduced 437 youth and 132 teachers to the sport. The club is currently advocating for four permanent courts at the park.
Work at Hugo Ray Park continues on Monday, August 15, and Friday, August 12. This will include environmental and geotechnical sampling. These tests are being done to gather additional information about the location and conditions of the land before presenting recommendations to Council. Three small areas will be cleared with small excavators, and the soil samples will be collected for analysis. While the project continues, no trees or vegetation will be removed.
