Founded in 1927 as Inglewood High School, West Vancouver Education Academy is a residential waterfront community that offers the IBO Diploma. It also has a proprietary bussing system. In 2005, renovations were completed.

West Vancouver Secondary School offers a variety of courses, including BC Provincial Curriculum in grades 8 and 9. Students can choose from courses in French immersion, Math 8 Enriched, Biology, Chemistry, and English. In addition, the school offers the Advanced Placement (AP) program.
Students who are interested in the IB Diploma Program must complete a two-year program and take six courses. The school board does not cover the full cost of the program, but each student must pay for supplies and the membership of the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) in Geneva.

He is a husband, father, son, brother, and friend. He was a dedicated outdoorsman and enjoyed sports such as hunting, fishing, scuba diving, and snow skiing. His wife, Alison Grantham, and their two daughters survived him. He is survived by his wife Alison Martin Grantham and two daughters.
