The Beach House Restaurant West Vancouver is an upscale seafood eatery that serves local, sustainable seafood, steaks & regional wines in a heritage-designated space on the Dundarave Pier. Conceived by renowned designer Elaine Thorsell, the new Beach House features three unique environments – a sophisticated dining room with a heated patio overlooking Howe Sound; a vibrant lounge with a private terrace; and an intimate, semi-private event space called The Landing.
Seafood lovers will appreciate the reimagined menu, which is focused on the West Coast with a focus on seafood towers and fresh oysters. Chef Gianluca Russo creates seasonally focused menus using only the freshest ingredients and partnering with seafood purveyors to ensure sustainable fish options are on the plate. The menu offers a variety of fish dishes including monkfish with white wine mustard sauce, grilled octopus, prawn and scallop spaghetti and chorizo mussels pot. Steaks on offer include a bearnaise filet, a grilled ribeye and a filet with lobster tail.

Steaks

It has been completely transformed and is now a one-of-a-kind destination for a seafood-centric food menu and a curated wine list that will make you feel like you’re on vacation no matter the weather outside.
The menu includes starters such as raw oysters, ahi tuna tacos and grilled octopus as well as mains such as steak frites, bearnaise filet, a prawn & scallop spaghetti, roasted tomato tagliatelle and short rib pappardelle. For dessert, you can order a baked Alaska, which features salted caramel ice cream and peanut butter mousse surrounded by guava sauce.
The Beach House Restaurant West Vancouver is also home to a large wine menu compiled by Sommelier David Stansfield. It includes a tableside martini program and a caesar section with premium options, as well as a classic cocktail selection using world-famous wines. A new ambiance has been added as well with art from BC artists, vintage photos and eclectic antiques. The restaurant also has a patio that is open much of the year, even in rainy weather. This popular North Shore restaurant recently underwent a significant renovation to refresh the dining experience. It is now a fresh, seafood-focused restaurant that will allow guests to enjoy the beautiful ocean views while enjoying an array of dishes and beverages.
A new menu has been developed by Earls culinary development chefs David Wong and Hamid Salimian, who have designed an array of dishes that highlight the delicious and seasonal offerings available at The Beach House Restaurant. This includes monkfish with a white wine mustard sauce, grilled octopus, prawn and scallop spaghettini and chorizo mussels pot.
Sommelier David Stansfield curated the wine list, which features over 101 wines to choose from. There is also a Reserve Menu that highlights some of the best world-famous bottles that pair well with the seafood-focused menu.
To complement the sommelier’s selection, beverage director Cameron Bogue has created a tableside martini program that features nine different martinis and five types of vermouth. Several of the vermouths are made from BC distillers such as Sheringham and Ampersand.
The Beach House Restaurant also offers a variety of events for weddings, meetings and special occasions. Their private function space, The Landing, is situated on the second floor of this historic building and offers spectacular panoramic views of the Burrard Inlet. It can accommodate up to 75 people seated or 150 standing.
Cocktails
The Beach House Restaurant West Vancouver has undergone a major refresh to bring it into the present day. Not only has the menu been reimagined to focus on fresh seafood but the curated wine list has also been revamped. The bar is a veritable feast for the eyes with an alluring selection of high-end spirits to boot. Among the many cocktails on offer is a bespoke champagne cocktail that’s not to be missed.
Despite ongoing indoor dining restrictions, Beach House has found the time to make the most of its oceanfront location and has unveiled a 66 seat patio pop-up that is not only a sight to behold but is the perfect complement to their reimagined main and upper decks. Using a top of the line beverage system, the bartenders have mastered the art of delivering high-quality cocktails at the right temperature and in the correct vessel. There are also a number of tasty options to choose from for lunch, dinner or both. The best part is you can do it all in style thanks to a state of the art retractable awning and pergola.

Located in the heritage building at Dundarave Pier, The Beach House Restaurant West Vancouver has been renovated to offer a more intimate dining experience with comfortable booths and excellent water views. The patio will also be revamped with a timber pergola structure and retractable awning for sun and rain coverage most months of the year, while improved furniture and seating layouts take advantage of the waterfront view.
The restaurant’s reimagined design features nods to the historic building, retaining its Edwardian roots and blending new and old accents like vintage photography and eclectic antiques. Artwork by Gordon Smith, Musqueam Coast Salish artist Susan Point and works selected in collaboration with the West Vancouver Art Museum, North Van Arts and Silk Purse Arts Centre decorate the walls.
For beverages, the restaurant offers a large wine menu curated by Sommelier David Stansfield and a unique table-side martini program with nine different martinis. Beverage director Cameron Bogue has also created a section of classic cocktails using premium spirits.
The second floor of the building, which the restaurant calls “The Landing,” is an impressive venue space that is ideal for weddings and other large events. This event space can accommodate up to 92 people and boasts unobstructed views of the Burrard Inlet. It features custom-made furniture and local antiques as well as vintage decorative lighting accents.

Born in North Vancouver, Louisiana, Dr. Grantham grew up in Lower Lonsdale. He then went on to complete his business degree at the University British Columbia. As of this writing, Grantham has completed over 100 projects, including the development of a high rise building in Vancouver.
He is a husband, father, son, brother, and friend. He was a dedicated outdoorsman and enjoyed sports such as hunting, fishing, scuba diving, and snow skiing. His wife, Alison Grantham, and their two daughters survived him. He is survived by his wife Alison Martin Grantham and two daughters.
