8 West Vancouver is a Modern, Upscale Hotel With a Full-Service Spa and Restaurant

8 West Vancouver

8 West Vancouver is a modern, upscale hotel with a full-service spa and restaurant. The hotel is located steps from the Vancouver Seawall and offers contemporary meeting rooms for corporate events.

The district is home to Canada’s first shopping mall, Park Royal Shopping Centre, as well as the Horseshoe Bay ferry terminal, one of the main connecting hubs between the island and mainland.

H Tasting Lounge

H Tasting Lounge is a sophisticated destination that offers cocktails, area-sourced cuisine and weekend afternoon tea. With an enchanting patio, it’s a perfect place to enjoy the views and the sound of the water.

The restaurant offers a slew of drinks from their custom bar menu that reflect a global mindset and a timeless feel. For example, The Blip is a violet ube-based cocktail embellished with dried rose petals and an intricate wafer butterfly resting delicately on dreamy coconut-lavender foam.

For food, you can dig into an array of small and large plates. This winter, a seafood-forward program features salt-baked sea bass, miso-marinated pacific sablefish and flamed certified Angus beef Tomahawk. You can also opt for a vegetarian option like the locally sourced butternut squash salad.

Another dining experience you’ll want to check out is their magical Winterlust dome dining experience. Taking place on their waterfront patio starting October 30 through December, the domes feature a seriously Insta-worthy setup complete with adjustable heated glass domes that boast panoramic views of Stanley Park and onto the North Shore.

Each dome is equipped for cool winter nights with a heater and independent sound system. Guests can choose from a selection of share plates including salt-baked salmon, wild mushroom and walnut pates, crispy truffle fries and Mexican chocolate panna cottas.

In addition to the Winterlust dome experience, H Tasting Lounge has a number of other fun events for those looking to get away from the cold. They’ve partnered with Oliver Osoyoos Wine Country to host Savour the Sun, a series of intimate wine dinners highlighting seasonally-influenced menus paired with local wines.

They’ve also got a Winter Afternoon Tea every weekend that changes with the seasons for $55 per person. This menu is brimming with sweet and savory bites and you can order a liquid nitrogen-dipped rose to finish off the meal.

This is a great spot to stop by for an intimate gathering with friends and family. It’s also a good option for couples looking to get away from the city. There’s no reservations needed and it’s a self-service style set up so be sure to arrive early to beat the lunch hour crowd!

H2 Rotisserie & Bar

The sexiest thing at H2 Rotisserie & Bar is their signature Maple Hill Farms rotisserie chicken, but the gizmo that has us most impressed is their kombucha on tap. It’s the most refreshing drink to be served in a glass, and you can find it on their menu along with a few other healthful concoctions.

The first time I visited the slick looking restaurant I had no idea what to expect, but was pleasantly surprised. It has a surprisingly spacious bar area with an impressive view of the water and the surrounding parklands. The decor is modern West Coast contemporary and has a lot of glass and natural wood tones. It is also a great place to unwind and enjoy a cocktail on their patio, which has an awesome view of the Stanley Park skyline.

As you can imagine, eating and drinking in Vancouver doesn’t come cheap. That’s why the city lays on a number of food and drink events each year. The Dine Out Vancouver events are especially fun for tourists and locals alike because they offer a variety of unique experiences that you just can’t get anywhere else in the city.

The best way to see it all is by visiting the various locations for a combination of drinks and food. There are several bars and restaurants in 8 West Vancouver that have special happy hour deals, so you can get your fix without breaking the bank. The best part is that it all takes place in a beautiful space that you won’t soon forget.

Profractional Laser

Laser skin resurfacing has quickly made its way into the top of the list for anti-aging treatments. It can diminish signs of sun damage and aging, such as wrinkles, discoloration, scars, laxity, and overall tone and texture, all while providing minimal downtime for healing.

Unlike the older generation of laser resurfacing, which removed the top layers of the skin to create micro channels, ProFractional Laser uses a grid pattern of microscopic treatment zones, or columns of energy that are one-tenth the size of a hair follicle, that are dispersed throughout the entire surface of the skin. This allows the medical aesthetician to target multiple areas at once, reducing downtime and treatment time and speeding up recovery.

This highly advanced technology has a tunable beam that delivers laser light in a controlled, non-invasive manner with little or no discomfort. It can be used to reduce the appearance of sun damage, acne scars, uneven pigmentation and more, while stimulating collagen production for a smoother, brighter complexion.

Before your treatment, your medical aesthetician will numb your skin using a topical anesthetic to ensure that your comfort is not compromised during the procedure. Once the laser is fully activated, your doctor will guide the device in a series of targeted passes to the desired area.

Once your treatment is complete, your doctor will apply a post-treatment cream to help promote skin regeneration and minimize the potential for any further downtime. You can expect to see results in as little as four weeks, and depending on your goals, you may need a series of treatments for optimal skin rejuvenation.

If you want to take your anti-aging game to the next level, 8 West Clinic offers a variety of laser and skin resurfacing procedures to give you healthier, younger-looking skin. These include ProFractional Laser, Halo Hybrid Fractional Laser, and BBL (Broad Band Light). If you’re not sure which treatment is right for you, schedule a consultation with your doctor to get the best recommendations for your specific concerns.

Skincare

While summertime is often associated with long days at the beach, UV rays can have a significant impact on our skin, even when we’re indoors. But with the help of 8 West Vancouver’s team of specialists, it’s possible to reverse this trend and keep your skin looking its best year-round.

One of the clinic’s most popular procedures is their Profractional Laser, a patented technology that can correct sun damage and scarring for a more holistic approach to skin rejuvenation. Combined with medical-grade skincare from SkinCeuticals, this slew of treatments can take you from the sun-kissed glow of your youth to the smooth, vibrant skin of your dreams.

It’s no secret that a well-designed skincare routine is the foundation of beautiful skin. In the same way that a diet can improve overall health, a good skincare regime will promote collagen production, reduce fine lines and even out your skin tone.

The key to a successful skincare regimen is having a clear understanding of what works for your skin. To ensure that you’re getting the most from your products, seek the help of a skin care professional who can provide personalized advice.

It’s also important to remember that the best skincare products don’t always have to be expensive. We’ve rounded up four of the most effective and affordable options for every budget. Whether you’re in need of a new cleanser or the latest and greatest in anti-aging treatments, these products will make a big impact on your skin. The best part is that they’re available right now.
