Food Safety Education Program

Massachusetts Food Safety Task Force

The goal of Massachusetts Food Safety Task Force is to provide a forum for food protection and food safety experts, and others concerned with food safety in Massachusetts, to share information, identify emerging and prevailing food safety issues for their constituents, and develop strategies to reduce the risk of foodborne illness in Massachusetts.

Under the leadership of the UMass Extension Food Safety Education Program; the Massachusetts Partnership for Food Safety Education (MPFSE); the Massachusetts Department of Public Health (MDPH) Division of Food and Drugs - Food Protection Program; and the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, Office of Nutrition, Health and Safety, the Massachusetts Food Safety Task Force includes individuals from state, regional and federal agencies; associations; extension, academia; and the food industry.
