Best Management Practices

Best Management Practices are recommendations for farming operations that have been shown to provide for the efficient use of resources, optimized economic returns, and the safety of workers and consumers while reducing adverse environmental impacts.

Here are some of the new BMPs available from UMass Extension on the Web, thanks in part to funding by the Massachusetts Farm Bureau Federation and the Massachusetts Department of Agricultural Resources:
